Dr. Grace E. Lee, DMD
Dr. Grace Lee originally majored in English Education for her undergraduate and her Master’s degrees. While in the Master’s program, Dr. Lee participated in a mission trip to Afghanistan where she formed a passion for dentistry. As a result Dr. Lee went to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine to pursue her dream to become a dentist. While in dental school, Dr. Lee continued to participate in dental mission trips and volunteered for Oral Cancer Research Projects and local dental services.
Since she graduated from UPenn, Dr. Lee has practiced in the greater Chicago area as a general dentist. In addition, Dr. Lee has continued to expand her knowledge and techniques in dentistry to provide patients with the most advanced dental technology and the highest quality of dental care. Dr. Lee is not only a certified provider for Invisalign treatment but also for Braces and oral appliances for Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Snoring patients and TMJ, and for Implant surgery. In addition, Dr. Lee has become certified in dermal fillers.
When not providing dental care for her patients, Dr. Lee enjoys running along the Lakeshore Michigan Trail, playing the piano, reading books and having quality time with her loved ones. Dr. Lee is always excited to welcome you and to build up a valuable long term relationship with you at Elite Dental.
Dr. Steffy Macwan-Christian, DMD
Dr. Macwan was born in Gujarat, India, received her dental education and graduated from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of dental science, Bangalore India in 2011. She practiced general dentistry for 4 years before moving to USA in 2015. She applied for the Advanced standing program at UIC college of dentistry to obtain her US dental license and graduated in May 2022. Dr. Macwan’s philosophy is that there is no greater satisfaction than serving the community and giving them their smiles back by saving one tooth at a time. She believes every patient should be treated like family with utmost care and respect. She is currently an active member of American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society and Illinois State Dental Society.
Dr. Macwan likes to spend time with her husband and 3 yr old son exploring museums, parks and restaurants in Chicago. She also loves to spend time outdoors for long walks and hiking and enjoys reading.
Dr. Susie Shin, DMD
Dr. Shin graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Following her dental education, she completed a one year General Practice Residency in Dentistry at the Jesse Brown Veterans Administration Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Shin is committed to making dentistry accessible to all and believes in continuous learning to deliver quality care to patients. She believes in conservative treatment and will care for patients as they are her family.
When Dr. Shin is not practicing dentistry, you can find her exploring Chicago riding bikes, and trying local restaurants.
Rosie Garcia, Office Manager
Rosie began her career as a medical biller and coder in a large retina practice in 2007 and then later gained additional knowledge as an Orthopedic administrative assistant. She always had a passion for helping people so the transition into the dental field felt very natural to her. Rosie joined Elite Dental in August of 2020 and is currently the Office Manager. Her goal is to make sure our patients receive the quality service and attention they deserve from the moment they walk in through the front door.
Rosie is originally from Hobbs, New Mexico, but has lived in Chicago, Illinois almost all of her life. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family including her cat Bubba. She loves to travel and her hobbies are planning family activities and events, scrapbooking, cooking, and enjoying her evening with a glass of wine.
Alessa Moya, Dental Assistant
Alessa is born and raised in Chicago and has been in the dental field for 5 years. Dedicated to providing amazing dental care and passionate for helping people feel confident in their smiles, she strives to create a comfortable experience for every patient she sees. Outside of work, she enjoys going to concerts to see her favorite bands, journaling, and binge watching her favorite TV shows like The Office and Gossip Girl.
Moira Paragas, Dental Assistant
Born overseas, Moira's Associate in Arts degree in Pre-Dentistry led her to further studies in Dentistry. By 1992, she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Centro Escolar University in Manila, Philippines. Since relocating to Illinois in 2015, she has been practicing as a dental assistant until joining Elite Dental, Ltd in Buena Park. She speaks English, Filipino and a little bit of Spanish. Her personal interests include Filipino cooking, shopping and enjoying all the art and cultural sights Chicago’s region has to offer. Meanwhile, she continues to bring her humor and smile equally to those of her colleagues and patients alike!
Carissa Moya, Front Desk Receptionist
Carissa is a front desk team member at Elite Dental where she manages scheduling, patient communication, and insurances. She values making sure each patient feels comfortable and welcomed from the moment they walk in. With a calm and friendly approach, she creates a positive experience for everyone who visits the office. Outside of work, Carissa enjoys playing both acoustic and electric guitar as well as the ukulele. You can often find her waiting in line outside the venue of her favorite bands!
